Crafted myself this 6’4” egg with a flat rocker, beautiful thick agave stringer and bluepine bonza fin setup a month or so ago. I love this board. Particularly when I’m so far from regular waves (so not surfing-fit). It’s fast, easy to catch waves, love the high line on a wave the bonza fins like to ride. This photo is in the backyard after glassing the fins on.

It’s tough to let some boards go. I want to hold onto them and skate them all. This is a floating cedar log I let dry for several years before shaping it for the beauty within. Here she is with applied to the deck. She is light and bombs hills like a champion; a joy and pleasure to skate. I love finding gems like this. It’s like finding those people you just gel with and they get you; really get you. You want to hang out forever.

West coast weird I like surfed a few homemade boards a few miles from this cove where a 4-5ft swell was hitting. It wasn’t epic surf but great to get salty. Good to ride my agave single fin.
