Books, magic, and a craft you made with your own hands — this one’s going to be an evening you won’t forget. We’re officially launching Hammer & Stain Crafters x Moonstone Readers, our brand new book club, and we’re kicking things off in the best way possible!

We’re reading Dilly’s Wine & Flea by Marcy Mahoney — and the author herself will be joining us for the evening. ✍️🌙

I’m so excited to see so many new faces at my events and on Instagram! Thank you for 3k followers! I’d like to take a moment to reintroduce myself. I’m Renee, the owner of Moonstone & Mist Bookshop. My goal is to open a brick & mortar bookshop carrying all genres of fiction for readers of all ages in Redondo Beach, CA, in 2027.

I love historical fiction, contemporary romance, cozy fantasy, and autobiographies (and, secretly… werewolf s**t).

I’m always reading a physical book, an ebook, and an audiobook simultaneously.

I’m a full time technical editing specialist in the aerospace industry by day and bookseller by night and weekend.

I have a BA in English Lit from CSUSB and MA in African American Studies from Temple University.

I love chai lattes, word games, whimsy, themed events, Oxford commas, and living joyfully. I hope to see you at our upcoming events and, eventually, in the shop!

A highlight of my weekend full of highlights, was getting my masterpiece collection handmade horns from my sweet friend Jess at The H***y Rose!! I bought my first pair of baby horns from Jess five years ago when she was just getting started as a business and I was just getting started with fantasy costumes. When she posted these horns, so many friends sent me the post and then Jess offered me an excellent price… I couldn’t say no! Follow The H***y Rose, get gorgeous horns, and live whimsically!
