🍪 Saturday, 8/8 (11 AM–1 PM): SF Sourdough Cookies Popup featuring 48-hour slow-fermented treats from AP Flour SF.
☕ Sunday, 8/9 (12–4 PM): de-tea Pop-Up serving up curated decaf teas from San Mateo.
🎤 Monday, 8/10 (6:30–8 PM): Poetry Night! This month, join us for an open mic.

🍦 Calling all readers! One month left for our Summer Reading Challenge! 📚✨

The Fireside Summer Reading Challenge will end on August 31st. Readers of ALL ages (yes, adults, that means you too!) should grab their trackers and complete them to win prizes!

How it works: 1️⃣ Grab a reading tracker in the store. 2️⃣ Every time you finish a book, write the title on an ice cream scoop and color it in. 🎨 3️⃣ Bring it back to show us and earn a small prize for each scoop you color! You don’t have to color in all the scoops– just earn prizes for however many you’ve finished!

Have you already finished your cone? Bring it to us so we can proudly display it!🍧

Next week is Indie Author Week at Fireside 😍📖

July 27-31 local independent authors will be in store to meet readers and sell their work. They are activists, artists, coaches, and doctors and their work spans genres and formats. We even have a couple of returning authors – welcome back Alana Karen and Serentripity zine!

All proceeds from sales of their books, zines, novels, and merch go directly to the authors. Please stop by and support indie 🙌🏻

🧀 Fri 7/17 (12-3 PM): Cheese Pop Up – Kitchen Table Travel Co.’s cheese and charcuterie truck is back outside the store! Stop by and let Georgette suggest the perfect cheese pairing for your next read.

🥂📚 Fri 7/17 (5-8:30 PM): The “Book Club” – Our free monthly social event is back, and so is Book Trivia! Come with friends or form a spontaneous team. Drinks available for purchase.

🧸 Sat 7/18 (10:15 AM): Children’s Storytime – Bring the kiddos for our weekly storytime, perfect for kids of all ages.

🌉 Sun 7/19 (4:30-6 PM): Lost Treasures of San Francisco Author Talk – Join author Maria Lenhart in conversation with Adele Fukuba as they take us on a nostalgic journey through the City by the Bay. Space is limited, so make sure to RSVP!

Join us for a nostalgic look back at SF’s recent past 🌉🫶🏻

Like chatting with a group of longtime residents, you'll hear about hot fudge sundaes at Blum’s, visits to the giant Christmas tree at City of Paris, jazz in the Fillmore, braving the winds for a Giants game at Candlestick, and listening to the Grateful Dead at Winterland on New Year’s Eve.

These and many other bygone pleasures are captured in Lost Treasures of San Francisco, by Maria Lenhart. Lenhart will be in conversation with Adele Fukuba on July 19 at 4:30pm at Fireside.

This event is free but please RSVP using the calendar at firesiderwc.com/events to help us anticipate attendance.

Join us Friday (tomorrow) for our monthly social club: The "Book Club" 💃🏻🍹🎲

For June, we are hosting game night again! We'll supply games but encourage you to bring your own, too. Come with friends or meet some new ones.

We'll also have special Dungeon Crawler Carl-themed mocktail and cocktails.

The "Book Club" is a casual hang out. There is no required or suggested reading. To join the fun, check in at the bookstore register. Attendance is free; drinks for purchase.
