We didn't get as many new titles in this week so I decided to include some new "nonbook" items in the post.

We have added some soaps, new candles and nuts to our shelves! The Sweetwater Soaps and Sugarberry Creek Candles are made in Minnesota and smell SOOOOOO good! Since we put them on the shelves the bookstore doesn't smell like old books anymore and that might be a good thing!

We also have some new organic soaps made with essential oils that customers have told us are fantastic on their skin.

And nuts! I thought I was maybe a bit nuts when I ordered these but my workers have been nuts about them and may end up buying all the inventory for themselves!

Oh, and there are books so be sure to scroll to the end of the post!

We also go in some great new travel cribbage boards and wooden puzzles that will make great Christmas gifts if you are already working on your shopping list!

More wonderful new titles in at Chapter Two Bookstore in Redwood Falls.

I should also take pictures of the new "nonbook" items that we get from other suppliers but I'm not too good at that. But last week one of my wholesale suppliers ran a special where I could order from a bunch of new suppliers and I took advantage of it!!! A lot of the merchandise showed up yesterday and it was quite fun opening all the boxes. You'll have to come in and see if you can spot all the new games, puzzles, gifts, cards, and art supplies!

These are the new titles we got in last week! I figured I'd better get this post done before this week's order comes in!

I've also been busy adding to our greeting card assortment. I'm sorry that I didn't take any pictures because it would be overwhelming for all of us. But I reordered quilling cards from two different suppliers and also bought a lot of new cards from some new suppliers and also from some old favorites. Our new big card rack is almost full and I still have a couple more orders coming in. Oh, and I've also ordered more art supplies and games and puzzles and I'm starting to order things for the holidays!!! It's been a busy month but also so fun when the new things come in!

New book titles at Chapter Two in Redwood Falls.

Fun fact: Did you know that publishers always release new titles on Tuesdays? The last two pictures are the new titles that you can't buy until tomorrow. So if you've been waiting for the paperback version of "My Friends" by Fredrik Backman you can't get it until tomorrow!

Sorry for the huge photo dump ... I guess it's been a while since I posted our new books. In the last three weeks we added A LOT of books. We also added some great new puzzles, art supplies, cards, coasters and games. And we had the Grand Opening for the annex, which was wonderful. Thank you to everyone who came and a special thanks to the three authors (Doris Guggisburg, Harlan Kaden, and Teresa Peterson)! The talks were all wonderful.

To be honest, the open house kind of wore me out and I needed a little recovery time. I think I got about 15 minutes and then I decided to tackle the lower shelves in the front room of the bookstore which have been a bit awkward. I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out and now we have room for even more new books!!! Yay!!!!

This week I decided to hang a few pictures in the meeting room so that it would look nice for the author talks during the Grand Opening. Hmmmm. I might have gotten a bit carried away and I ended up making a Gertrude Stein style salon. You' really need to come to Chapter Two tomorrow and see it!!!

We are so excited for tomorrow and we keep adding new activities!

We are going to have a bookstore scavenger hunt for kids. When they complete their card they can submit it and at the end of the day we will draw six lucky winners! We will be giving away two gift certificates and four games! And there will also be free books for every child that comes in!

My grandkids are also going to be making cotton candy. They are kind of new at this and so they aren't going to charge for the treat but there will be a jar for tips and another jar to donate money for the pocket park!

I've also been busy getting prizes ready for customers. Everyone that makes a purchase tomorrow can draw a slip of paper from the magic bowl and win a door prize!

And we will have the authors in the new art salon (aka meeting room) starting at 2:30!

And food!!! That's my job today ... get the food ready!
