We haven't posted about new locomotive progress in a few minutes with the enthusiasm for Pumpkin Patch keeping us busy, but big stuff is happening in the shop!

Aside from running gear being functional on air and parts of the assembly looking very much like a locomotive, we are rolling towards completion. We just finished both cabs. They're made of Canary Wood, Apatong, and a high density heat and fire resistant wood composite.

Also going on and making things more steam engine shaped is the fitting of the sheet-metal boiler jacket that covers the boiler insulation.

Less than two months until we open for Pumpkin Patch, and we sure are excited to share some new things that will make your life easier and your experience more enjoyable.

Friends, we'll be pretty honest for a moment. We do Trains, Trees, and Pumpkins really well, we're even pretty dang good at eating a mountain of pie at Mainstreet Cafe.

But we never thought we would push all the right buttons and hash-tag the right stuff to get a MILLION VIEWS on one of our posts, and we don't pay to advertise so people just love us for real? Our average posts hover between 5-10 thousand views, better numbers in the 30 thousands. Our best was a collaboration post with Ashton | Family Travel | Lifestyle last year landing somewhere in the 300 thousands, which seemed wild!

A heartfelt thanks from all of us here for somehow getting us to a million views and tons of comments and questions cross Instagram and Facebook. You're all the best!

"You spin me right round baby!"

The locomotives get to have all the fun on our creaky Merry Go Rou... whoops, Turntable.

The turntable allows us to make sure the orientation of a locomotive is correct before heading out to pick up cars. Otherwise we have to run around loops or do big three point turns on wyes. It also makes it so that the multiple engine house tracks aren't a web of switch points, just the big turntable in the middle.
