❤️ Follow-Up to Our Story: This Is Our Why
This is our son, Colton.
When Colton was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at 2 years old, our world changed. We didn't know exactly what the future would look like, but we knew we would do whatever it took to help him reach his full potential.
That's a big part of why Nicole and I started In An Instant Personalized Signs & More back in 2018.
Today, Colton is 12 years old. Every day is different. Every day brings new challenges, new victories, and new lessons. No milestone goes unnoticed in our family because we've learned that progress is worth celebrating, no matter how big or small.
One of the greatest blessings in our journey has been the Janus School in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Their motto is simple:
"Not All Great Minds Think Alike."
Janus specializes in helping students who learn differently and gives them the tools, confidence, and support they need to succeed. With small class sizes and an incredible staff, they've made a life-changing difference not only for Colton but for so many other children and families.
The Janus School -
The school is nearly 40 miles from our home. For years we drove him back and forth ourselves. Today we still make the trip every morning and afternoon to meet his van. It's a commitment we're proud to make.
We'd also like to give a special shout-out to one of Colton's favorite teachers, affectionately known as Miss Gabby. During the school year she's helping students like Colton grow and thrive, and during the summer you might run into her serving guests at Paradise Grill. It's people like her who make a difference in children's lives every single day.
The support you've shown our family and our little shop at 63 Rehoboth Avenue has helped make opportunities like this possible. When you purchase a sign from us, you're not helping support a corporation or a vacation home. You're helping support a family that is working every day to give their children every opportunity possible.
Looking ahead, our dream is even bigger. Someday we'd love to create scholarships to help other families facing similar challenges. And because Colton dreams of owning his own miniature golf course one day, we've also taken the next step and officially made our business franchise-ready. Our hope is to grow something that creates opportunities not only for our family, but for others as well.
Thank you for supporting local.
Thank you for supporting family.
And thank you for helping one incredible kid chase his dreams.

P.S. We still get excited every time we spot one of our signs "out in the wild." If you have one, post a photo below—we'd love to see it!
