Indian River had its first shark brought in today when Capt. Dave Collins and Mate Alex Neiss of the "Capt. Ike II" fished at A-buoy using whole bluefish and along came this monster Thresher shark that weighed 517.2lb.
The crew from the charters was front, Mike Moss and Dann Harkey, standing Mike Ott, Chris Blair, Matt Goundry and Jeff Harper.

Adam Schwartz took a quick afternoon run out to site 11 after work and came back to the dock with this 6.6lb flounder and some Black Sea bass that weighed up to 2.1lbs. The flounder was caught using pink gulp and is the biggest flounder weighed in so far this year at Indian River Marina.

Despite the nasty weather this holiday weekend, Braden decided to try is luck and fish for flounder on Friday on the south side of Indian River Inlet using minnows. He beat all the odds and caught this 16.5" flatty and brought to us to clean for dinner. Congrats to Braden, hope dinner was good!!

Nothing like waiting until the last minute!! But the new regulations for federal waters for the Black Sea Bass, Flounder and Bluefish have been approved.
-15 Black Sea Bass at 12.5” opening May 1st - December 31st with no October closure.
- 4 Flounder at 16” from Jan1st - May 31st then 17.5” until December 31st.
- 5 Bluefish recreationally and 7 Charter/Headboat
We look forward to getting the Capt. Bob II out May 1st.

NOAA Fisheries approves conservation equivalency for the summer flounder and black sea bass recreational fisheries, and implements Framework 19 to the Summer Flounder, Scup, and Black Sea Bass Fishery Management Plan, and Framework 7 to the Bluefish Fishery Management Plan.

The tautog and rockfish are biting, so come by and grab your bait and tackle before heading to the inlet.
Use live green crabs and sand fleas as well as frozen shrimp to catch those sneaky tautog with Deadly Tackle tog jigs or our own tog rigs.
And the rockfish are snapping at the SP Minnows or bunker.
We are a short walk or drive from the inlet, back in the Indian River Marina.
