New Season // New Setup

Saturday kicked off the 2026 Sierra Nevada Band Series at Galena High School! It was also the debut of our new banners, new tables, new tablecloths, and new 15-foot easy up that was donated last year by the Spanish Springs High School Cougar Band !!! parents!

We aren’t folks who replace things constantly, needing the newest and shiniest infrastructure and displays. But it was definitely past time to freshen up our out of store setup and we are also very excited for some more new banners and signs that will be coming soon, as well as something else very cool coming at the end of the year. Have a happy Monday!

This accordion came into the shop a few months ago on a trade from a family who it held a lot of sentimental value for, but who ultimately just wanted it to land in a home where it would be enjoyed once more.

Noah and his family are frequent visitors of our store, taking lessons from one of our wonderful violin instructors, Laurentiu. Today, this instrument found its new home with the family, where it will be restored even more to its glory and where it will sing once more. 🪗

We has a bunch more rental nights and ran a free instrument petting zoo for the Reno Phil’s family concert, with the help of RPYO musicians! Social media has sort of taken the back burner right now, with all the things we’ve been juggling. So here’s a little photo dump from your local music store as we navigate the great chaos of back to school season!

Super happy to spend the evening tonight in Fallon for CCMS’s 2026 rental night! We met some awesome families and are thrilled to help get these kiddos started right. Thank you, Mr. Koenig at CCMS, and to the folks who came by! 😁 Taking three school baritones back to Reno for repair, too.

It’s That Time Again! Extended Back to School Hours!
-
-
For the last few years, we’ve extended our weekday store hours to provide more time for families to get what they need as they juggle all the back to school chaos! Students beginning their journey as part of a school music program is an incredibly rewarding and exciting time, and we want our part to be as seamless and easy as possible. Our rent-to-one program is open-ended, and a great tool to utilize! We also have accessories, performance level instruments, and a large repair department for all needs! See you soon! 🙏🎶
