Who gives the workshop?

About Chaja

Chaja Hogeweg is 29 years old, and recently relocated to Reno. She was born in The Netherlands, where she attended art academy, and studied animation. Chaja first got excited about stop-motion animation while doing an exchange at an art academy in Tokyo Japan. While she was there, she had the opportunity to work with Masaki Moori, a famous Japanese stop-motion animator.
After finishing art school, Chaja started her animation business in Amsterdam. During this time, she started giving workshops to kids and really enjoyed it. In 2015, Chaja moved to the United States because she fell in love with an American (they are married now)! She now has relocated her business to the US, and is giving workshops here now!

Here is a great opportunity for kids age 9-13 this summer!
I am going to give a 4 session (1,5 hour each) workshop in stop-motion animation. The kids will be making a stop-motion animated film from start to finish: forming a crew, building a set + characters, taking the pictures and editing the movie. The workshops will be given at The Reno Collective in mid town, where I am a professional animated filmmaker. This workshop has been given in schools before, and it’s always been a big success. Kids love the magic of animation!
