Looks like someone’s grandma cleaned out the china cabinet? And she has TASTE.

We recently received an incredible collection of vintage china and ceramics, and honestly, going through it feels a little like opening someone’s family cabinet piece by piece.

There’s Vintage Hand-Painted Puente del Arzobispo Pottery from Cerámica Cruz in Spain, including a 25-piece coffee and condiment set and a massive 91-piece dinnerware collection with 7 apothecary jars.

Then there’s the English classic, Royal Albert Old Country Roses Bone China, with its iconic roses and gold detailing, alongside matching goblets and Montrose Rose porcelain candle holders. 🌹

And tucked into the collection is a 58-piece Noritake Caprice dinnerware set, finished in timeless white porcelain with delicate gold trim.

Some of these pieces traveled from traditional pottery workshops in Spain. Some were made in England. Some probably spent decades carefully displayed behind glass, waiting for the “right occasion.”

Now the whole cabinet has somehow made its way to Gone. 🥹

Sometimes we receive furniture. Sometimes we receive a little piece of art history. 🎨

We recently got eleven beautiful works by Steve Hanks at our Renton store, and once we learned more about the artist behind them, we knew they were worth sharing.

Hanks became known for incredibly detailed watercolor paintings that could almost be mistaken for photographs. But the detail wasn’t really the point. He called himself an emotional realist, using realism to capture something much harder to paint: feeling.

Quiet moments. Sunlight across a room. Life near the water. Solitude. Family. The little moments that somehow feel familiar.

Steve Hanks passed away in 2015, but his work continues through collections, originals and limited-edition prints, with his official website now maintained by his family.

And somehow, eleven of his pieces found their way to Gone and six are still in stock. 💚

That’s what we love about secondhand. You never really know what story is going to walk through our doors next.
