This has been a long time coming. We wanted to upgrade our packaging responsibly, with sustainability and environmental impact in mind. During our research we kept finding options that were compostable, but would have started to deteriorate within 3-6 months! This isn’t ideal for craft chocolate which ages over time, allowing complex flavors to develop - much like fine wine or cheese.

Our new packaging provides excellent protection against oxygen and moisture and it maintains an long 18 month shelf life, which is the perfect timespan for craft chocolate (if you can make it last that long!) If you don’t finish your bar in one sitting, the zipper closure allows for easy resealing to enjoy later. The best part: our new packaging is 100% industrial-and-home compostable!

New, beautiful zipper-closure compostable packaging! 🍫 This has been a long time coming. We redesigned our labels to be works of art with a modern but boho aesthetic, each featuring a custom zentangle. Our goal was for the artwork to draw you into an escape to chocolate bliss 🏝️⛵️

The zipper means that if you don’t eat the whole bar at once, you can easily reseal it for later.
And yes, it’s compostable! 🍃This new packaging maintains an 18-month shelf life while being both industrially and home compostable.
