New this week! The Hodag & Paul Bunyan : Lumber Camp Lore

Pick up this new book, wait a second it’s TWO books in One! The Hodag & Paul Bunyan : Lumber Camp Lore is largely a reprinting of two 1920s books that sought to bring the lumberjack bunkhouse vibe to the public. They include Luke Sylvester "Lake Shore" Kearney's, THE HODAG: AND OTHER TALES OF THE LOGGING CAMPS, first published in 1928, and Eugene and Karretta Gunderson Shepard's, PAUL BUNYAN: HIS CAMP AND WIFE, published in 1929. Both books provide early accounts of the Hodag, the ill-tempered beast that lumberjacks allege embodies the cranky spirit of a dead lumber ox. They also tie the Hodag to the larger than life lumberjack hero Paul Bunyan.
