We recently updated our website with an incredible selection of books available through our client consignment program!

Our inventory features everything from rare Golden Age DC key issues to Modern Marvel favorites, with books ranging from lower grades to high-grade copies. Our selection is constantly changing as books sell and new consignments are added, so there is always something new to discover.

Was just notified that CGC has recently finished grading another group of books for some of my clients.

When I originally received these books, several were in fairly rough condition and required quite a bit of work. After completing the cleaning and pressing, I had a strong idea of where I expected each book to grade—and thankfully, every one of them achieved the grades I had projected.

It’s always rewarding to see the finished results and know that the work put into each book paid off for the client.

Website Update

I know many of you have been wondering about the progress of our new website, and I’m happy to say that things are really starting to come together! Many of our services are now being finalized, with some additional fine-tuning still underway to ensure that new orders can be submitted and processed correctly.

In the meantime, our new Consignment page is fully operational! You can now browse and purchase many of the incredible books our clients have entrusted us to sell on their behalf.

Here is a new book that just arrived back from CGC today after being worked on by Comics Reborn. This book will be going up for sale on our website soon.

When I first received this book, it required quite a bit of work. Between the large spine split, both staples being detached from the cover, dirt, and tanning, I definitely had my work cut out for me.

I started by giving the cover a thorough cleaning before focusing on repairing the cover and reattaching the staples. From there, I performed multiple stain-removal treatments before finishing the book with a proper press.

Once the work was completed, I sent the book off to CGC for grading. It ultimately received a solid Universal 2.0, which was right around what I expected given the extent of the damage and the issues that could not be completely corrected.

Books like this are a great example of why every book needs to be evaluated individually. Even when a book has significant defects, proper cleaning, repair, and pressing can still make a noticeable difference in its overall presentation.

A client just received an amazing batch of books back from CGC today after having them professionally pressed and cleaned by me, and the results speak for themselves!

This batch produced some fantastic grades, ranging from solid mid-grade books all the way up to some impressive high-grade results. The client was absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out.

It’s always rewarding to see the hard work pay off and to help clients get the most out of their books before sending them off for grading. Another great batch successfully completed!

The last two weeks have been incredibly busy for us, with the number of orders and books coming through our doors continuing to grow. With that in mind, I thought I’d share a selection of books that several of our clients have recently received back from CGC.

We’ve seen a great mix of high- and mid-grade results, with the Captain America #38 receiving the highest grade currently listed on the census!

One important detail I want to point out regarding this particular book: the Captain America #38 was not previously worked on by Comics Reborn. The book came to us with existing eraser marks on the cover from a previous cleaning attempt performed before we ever received the book. Unfortunately, those marks were permanent and could not be corrected through the work we performed.

Because of the book’s previous condition, CGC ultimately assigned it a Conserved label. Despite that, we were still very pleased to see the book receive a 7.5 grade, which is an incredible result for a book of this age and a testament to the overall quality of the book despite the existing damage.

We always want to be transparent about the condition of books when they arrive in our hands, especially when previous work or damage may affect the final CGC result.

It’s been exciting seeing so many of our clients’ books come back with great grades over the past couple of weeks, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the rest of their books receive from CGC in the weeks ahead!

As mentioned in my previous post, I recently received an incredible new consignment collection from one of my clients. It took a little time to photograph, catalog, and price each book, but everything has now been completed and the books are officially available for purchase.

I wanted to give everyone who follows my page the first opportunity to purchase these books before I set up at my next comic convention in September. All prices have been finalized, and shipping will be calculated separately.
