Awesome update from a customer 🔥🙌🎣

“Landed this 25 inch laker today on my perch rig. Caught it using your wonder bread jig with one of you plastics using 2 lb test. Took 20 minutes to get him topside. Hook on my 5mm jig bent but never broke. Thank you, I know its not big but this is my pb for a laker and to catch it on my perch rig was a huge thrill. Thank you thank you. You can see he was hooked by the skin of his teeth”

Did a little scouting today for some upcoming guide trips and took my son with me to check the conditions. Got into them good on the last spot that we checked. The rain messed up a lot of ice so I wanted to check what was good and what was not before the snow comes tomorrow. The worst thing in the world is putting snow on sketchy ice where you can’t see it. Guys be careful out there when fishing after tomorrow. There’s some good ice but a lot of bad stuff still too. Use a spud wherever you walk if you haven’t seen the ice prior to the snow. Like even the last place we fished 90 percent of it was good but there was a thinner bad area that was a little too thin for my body weight. One easy tap of the spud. That’s the kind of stuff where you fall through in if you are walking on it with snow and not checking.

Since having kids, one of the things I’ve looked forward to the most was exposing them to my favorite hobbies. When you have girls, everyone assumes that they won’t like fishing or the outdoors in general. I wasn’t okay with that. I wanted them to experience everything and decide for themselves what they like and don’t like.

Yesterday, the two of us got to spend close to a full day on the ice. We picked a spot close to home in case things went south - which they didn’t. The fishing wasn’t great, but the company was.

While this little lady is certainly a girl’s girl, she has a great interest in fishing, which I’m very grateful for. Here’s to hoping this interest only continues to grow in the coming years.
