Dequan is one of my favorite new finds of 2026. In January, he was the only first time vendor that I accepted into Quit Your Day Job. That special event is usually reserved for only returning vendors but I just had such a good feeling about the guy that I had to see what he was all about. The intuition did not lie. His work is prolific, his voice is strong, his messages are powerful. Finding young talent that is dripping with potential is one of my favorite parts about curating this market. When you meet him, you'll immediately get what he's putting out there. I'm so happy that I get to celebrate his art and his dedication to his craft.

But that's not what I like about Alex. I love the colors, the shapes, and the voice he gives to the creatures he draws and paints.
