You can look at an otherwise bad situation, such as it seeming impossible to get through to your team as an opportunity for you to try a different approach to help get through to them. In this corner of the internet, we encourage everyone to be organized and prepared - whether you’re a coach, captain, athlete or parent! In my opinion, it’s always better to be over prepared than to not have something you need 😉 & it’s never too early to pack your tryout bag! Being prepared allows you to focus on other things like nailing your tryout & making the team!

Say it with me, "I cannot control everything."

Now, take a deep breath 😘

No matter how much you try, there will ALWAYS be things that you cannot control. ESPECIALLY as a Cheer Coach. This is exactly why I like to plan & organize my season. Sounds a bit contradictory, right? But hear me out...it can be much easier to handle the unexpected if you already have a plan in place because your goals and objectives are clarified, you can anticipate potential problems (& develop solutions before they occur) and it gives you the confidence needed to handle unexpected situations.

Having a plan in place doesn't necessarily mean you stick to it 100%. It means you've taken the time to think things through as best as possible with the information you have at that moment. When you know what you need to do, you are more likely to approach unexpected challenges with a positive attitude and a sense of purpose. Happy planning, friends! ❤️

Did you know you could possibly get reimbursed for your Cheer Coach Planner & other Coach organization tools purchased in our shop? We've had several Cheer Coaches do it! Check with your Athletic Director or Principal to see if they'll reimburse you for tools you need for your season and reach out to us for a copy of our W-9. Just send us an email to [email protected] and we'll send it right over! Submit the W-9 with your receipt and any other documentation they require and your school will handle the rest! 🎉
