A stunning traditional four poster bed with intricate carved finials and inlay details as well as other characteristics filled with charming and lovely surprises from the early 1900's that has classic turned solid mahogany wooden posts and gracefully arched carved panels. This is a beautifully superb piece that was actually locally made at one time by a company called Biggs which its makers mark can be identified on the back of the headboard which was a great find as not all beds or antique pieces have them and can be hard to establish the production of the makers name or brand. This Biggs Richmond Furniture Co. piece is proportioned extremely well and as like with most American made antique furniture it was built to last and have heirloom properties to be handed down and cherished for the years/ decades to come.

The mahogany wood is well preserved with only very minor surface wear and does not have any deep scratches or major damage or any kind that needs to be noted in the description. The maker's mark signature logo survives which allows the increasing of this pieces value and worth because it can be authenticated and also the local factor is a neat touch as well to have a historical information or background to be able to get full details on its maker and company that made this piece as well. That’s always been something antique collectors value and find special.

Measurements are 81" long, 63" tall and 58" wide.

I asking the very low minimum price for the bed because it’s such a neat piece that I would like to pass on to a new forever home where it will continue to truly be cherished and loved as it was by my grandmother who loved it so much and took such good care of her bed until she had to move into a care facility in New York by her daughter and her family to be close to them for her golden years. This is an original one of a kind vintage mid Century modern authentic acrylic painting on canvas signed by the artist herself; Grace Ginsberg. It is dated 1979.
