Step back in time to Rev. Wakefield's house of secrets in 1943 Scotland! Knit Claire's Library Vest out of Trendsetter Yarn's Organic Merino Wool. (was there any wool not organic in 1743???) Traditional staghorn cables, evocative of the Highland stags that roam amongst the heather-clad hills. The cables provide gentle shaping and lend an elegance to an otherwise eminently practical garment. The Library Vest is worked flat and seamed before stitches are picked up around the armholes and neckline for the ribbed bands to finish it off. Designed to fit closely it can be worn alone or with a blouse or shirt underneath for that classic 40’s look.
