5 years ago today, I chose a different path. I made a choice to stop numbing the pain from all the loss and trauma I have experienced in my life with drugs and alcohol. I made a choice to stop hurting the people I love most. I chose to love myself and accept the pain as a part of what has made me the strong and caring woman I have grown into. I choose to share my story so that anyone out there who is struggling with addiction or trauma or pains of the heart know that there is another path. I have found my path towards peace and happiness and true fulfillment and I hope that anyone who is feeling lost out there knows they can find their peace too. BE GOOD TO YOURSELF AND BE GOOD TO OTHERS AND THE WORLD WILL BE GOOD TO YOU. I promise!
