Founded in 2001, we have been frequently featured in Sew Beautiful magazine. We are a full service, fine sewing and smocking shop specializing in children's boutique-style garments and playclothes, heirloom garments such as Christening gowns and layettes, special occasion clothing, and one-of-a-kind clothes. We also carry fabrics, laces, notions, smocking plates, ready to smock clothing and much m

ore. We carry hundreds of fabrics in coordinating groups from all of the popular designers in the industry like Kaffe Fassett, Moda, Liberty, and Anna Griffin. We hold monthly classes in smocking, embroidery, quilting, shadowwork, and heirloom sewing. Our knowledgeable staff is helpful in solving any of your sewing questions and is ready to work with you to create the perfect garments for your loved ones.

Chadwick’s will be open for in store shopping Thursday 07/21 and Friday 07/22! Pat’s Retirement sales continues at 25% off all sewing related items and 20% off gifts. Please note there is a change to the sale. There is now a 1 Yard Minimum cut on all fabric to qualify for the sale discount. Please note this change goes into effect at midnight tonight 07/19.

What a treat to get to make this set for the grand-babies of my daughter and son-n-law for their family. All of their babies will get to use these garments that were handmade with love by their “GiGi”, that would be me!🥰 Their names and birth dates will be monogramed on the slip as these items will be passed down as their family heirlooms. 

Sharing all the details:

Everything was made in newborn size. This incredible fabric came from  and is white Swiss Voile. 

The Beauty Pin came from and was engraved by in Greenville, SC. 

I used Swiss Entredeux and silk satin double-faced ribbon. The lace beading, edging, and insertion were French Lace in various colors of Champagne and Ecru. The lace ranges from 1/2-5/8 inch to create this look. I also used Featheredge 2-Hole Mother of Pearl Buttons. All of these lovely items came from .

The gown pattern was “Baby Daygowns Book IV”, by Ginger Snaps Designs. The smocking plate, which was included, was smocked in ecru DMC floss.

The Slip and Girls Smocked Bonnet was from, “The Old Fashioned Baby, Smocked Baby Clothes”, By Jeannie Baumeister.

The Boys Bonnet was “Prince/Princess”pattern, by Kathy Dykstra

The blanket pattern, “Lace-Edged Hemstitch Baby Blanket”, was by Carol Ahles. The fabric was Austrian Cashmere Cotton Fannel with Cluny lace.

Now just waiting on baby!
