We are excited to host a special gallery solo show with local artist and Earlham Collage alumna Lauren Klaine at Oblivion Cinema & Arts this October! Klaine’s newest installation PIT STOP will remain on display in our gallery through the end of the month. Join us from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 17, 2026 to meet the artist and put the show into conversation with the creator at our formal meet-and-greet. This show and reception are free to attend and visit; original works are available for purchase.

For a preview of what’s in store for the show and to learn more about PIT STOP and Klaine, read the artist’s statement below:

“Lauren Klaine of Richmond, Indiana, is an artist exploring light and color in atmospheric landscapes.

In her new exhibition, PIT STOP, she focuses on how light can be inviting or off-putting —especially when we stray from our planned course. These paintings are inspired by a combination of physical locations and psychological states. Each piece serves as a reminder that even in our brightest and darkest hours we are always just passing through.”
