On hot summer days, Sharbat-e Khakshir is one of our favorite ways to stay cool.

This traditional Persian drink is made with khakshir or teff seeds, rosewater, sugar or honey, cold water, and ice (all ingredients you can find in our store!)

It’s light, floral, and refreshing — and it’s also known in Persian culture for helping to cool the body, support digestion, and soothe the skin.

Have you ever used dried Persian limes (or Limoo Amani)? They bring deep, tangy flavor to traditional dishes like Ghormeh Sabzi and Khoresh-e Gheymeh.

To cook with them, pierce them with a fork or crush them slightly, and then let them simmer with your stew.

Our family has been lucky to call the U.S. home for over 40 years — and one of our favorite ways to celebrate is by blending American traditions with a touch of Persian flavor.

On our grill this weekend: burgers, hot dogs…and of course, kebab koobideh! It’s always a crowd favorite — juicy, smoky, and perfect for sharing.
