This morning found me going through some of my MIL’s things and found was this book I gave her as a Christmas gift in 1992. My MIL was the absolutely one of the most beautiful and elegant women I have ever known and she also was the best and most-amazing hostess; I learned so much from watching and observing her as a young woman.

She was a force to be reckoned with for sure…she required very little sleep and never seemed to stop even when in the throes of battling cancer. Her home and yard were always lovely enough to be featured in the pages Traditional Home. I used to tell people (and still do) “she made Martha Stewart look lazy.” I find it funny now that one of the first gifts I ever gave her was a book by MS…the irony.

This rainy day (hallelujah !) may find me leafing through this book with a cup of coffee…maybe a homemade PSL…wishing for cooler weather and remembering….

Found in Maine and available for pre-purchase: this beautiful small bowl circa early 1800’s by Ridgway, pattern name: Grecian. No chips, cracks, or crazing. It’s absolutely beautiful. The diameter of the bowl is 5 inches. Asking price: $20. To claim, comment sold down below. 🤍

Due to many reasons (mostly personal for several of us girls at Joy’s, we will now be closed on Tuesdays.

Closed on Sunday, Monday & Tuesday except by appointment!!

Thanks for all the SHOPPING since we originally opened in 1998..
Then existed as a booth in Chicamauga for a couple years..
And then reopened as we are now.. in 2006.. TWENTY YEARS!!
