DESCRIPTION
Our ideal candidate is passionate about one or more of our offerings - windsurfing, winging, or kiteboarding - and looking to grow their knowledge of business and windsports in a supportive environment. We're looking for someone who is excited about getting people out on the water - helping them book lessons, choose the right rental gear, purchase equipment, and stay stoked! Enjoy being part of a great team, access to demo gear, pro discounts, sharing your knowledge with our amazing customers, and being in the perfect location to grab sunrise and sunset sessions for the windy summer season.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and organize the daily operations of the store
- Keep store clean, organized, and merchandised
- Maintain accurate inventory levels
- Facilitate a great customer experience - your job is to create more windsports enthusiasts!
- Process new gear - unpack, inventory, and tag
- Meet sales goals for in-shop, phone, email, and online orders
- Manage fulfillment, shipping and receiving for online store
- Stay up-to-date on latest gear developments
- Promote shop sales and events

QUALIFICATIONS
- Interest in at least one of our core sports: wingfoiling, windsurfing, and/or kiteboarding - bonus if you have experience as an instructor
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Shopify or willing to learn
- Experience with customer service and/or retail
- Willing to work weekend days
- Fluency with Google software (Drive, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc)

Description

We are searching for Wind Sports Instructors for the 2023 season and beyond. Our ideal candidate is passionate about one or more of our lesson offerings: windsurfing and wing foiling, and is looking to grow their knowledge of the watersports industry and further their leadership skills in a supportive, fun environment. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about getting people out on the water and passionate about wind and watersports. Most importantly we are in a VERY WINDY location and you will have a blast working and shredding here in the California Delta!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Teach wing foiling, windsurfing, and e-foiling lessons and group clinics to cliental of all ages (7yrs and up), abilities, and skill levels.

• Participate in job training to best understand risks associated with the teaching in the California Delta as well as learn and abide by Delta Windsports lesson plans as a guideline.

• Manage lesson schedule and coordinate times and availability with other instructors

• Communicate with students after the lesson via follow up messages with notes on their progression.

• Drive company box truck with lesson and rental gear to and from the beach.

• Set up rental clientele with gear while not instructing.

• Keep lesson / rental truck orderly and clean.

• Occasionally fill in at the Delta Windsports retail location as a retail associate.

• Remain encouraging and positive towards shop, rental, and lesson clientele.

Requirements

• Current Driver's License

• Cell Phone with Waterproof Case

• Extensive knowledge on proficiency in either wing foiling, windsurfing, or both.

• Personal Motorized Vehicle (No Public Transportation near shop location)

• Positive Attitude.

Job Benefits

The shop and lesson/rental programs hours are structured from 10am-5pm, so you can enjoy windy morning and sunset sessions. You share customer service with a supportive, fun, part-time team who have been a constant cornerstone of the shop for over 5 years. Hourly rate is listed above ^, additional benefits include team rider discounts and use of shop demo gear. Housing assistance is also available to candidates who need it. A place to park RV, Trailer, or van is available as well.
