Donna Napier is a stained-glass artist based in Three Springs, Pennsylvania.
She creates vibrant stained-glass hummingbirds featuring a metal beak and a lifelike, in-flight design. Each piece is handcrafted using the copper foil technique and takes about two hours to complete. No two hummingbirds are alike. Approximately 7 1/4 inches long by 6 inches tall.

Each piece is kiln-fired at temperatures exceeding 2,000 degrees. Backed by artisans with more than a century of collective experience, the collection highlights the care and skill behind every piece.

A NEW SHIPMENT OF POLISH POTTERY
JUST IN TIME FOR MOTHER'S DAY
There are ten pieces in this shipment.
Polish pottery is hand crafted and painted in the Boleslawiec region of Poland. This region is famous for its naturally found white clay which artisans have used for centuries. In the 1700’s the artists of the region designed and made pottery for royalty, earning them a reputation and standard of excellence that is still upheld today.
The bowls N 2nd Street Mercantile received range from four inches wide to seven inches wide. The heights vary.

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, Rowe Pottery is pleased to introduce a commemorative pottery collection that reflects the spirit of tradition, resilience, and craftsmanship. N 2nd Street Mercantile has the 1 gallon and ½ gallon in stock.

What began as a small-scale pottery shop in 1975 has evolved into a pure artisan studio creating functional pottery for the home. At Rowe Pottery they celebrate the handmade process, the materials they use and the people behind the products they create. Each piece of pottery begins as a raw lump of clay that is transformed into our finished pieces by their team of artisans. Many artists collaborate to create each piece of pottery from clay preparation to throwing, trimming, decoration, glazing and finishing. All pottery is fired in their kilns to a temperature exceeding 2000 degrees. Each time the kiln is opened there is an element of "surprise" as they inspect the work on each piece. The artisans take pride in the arts with over a century of collective experience with Rowe Pottery.

N 2nd Street Mercantile will be closed on Saturday, April 18th. A celebration will take place in Mayslick, Ky to honor the father (Gabriel) of Brigadier General Charles Young. This year is the 160th anniversary of his return from the Civil War. He escaped slavery and joined the Union forces moving his wife and Charles to Ripley after the war.

Charles Young spent his formative years in Ripley and left for West Point from here. Ripley is part of the Corridor of Freedom Celebration which includes Kentucky and Ohio.
