Come Celebrate the official opening of Fern & Fable Book Co.!!

When we opened Fern & Fable nearly two months ago, we chose to call it a 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠. We wanted to get our feet under us, meet our community, and let the shop grow into what we hoped it could be.

A little while later, we joined our Rising Sun Chamber of Commerce, and they extended the opportunity to have an official ribbon cutting.

At first, we weren’t sure it made sense. After all… we’d already opened our doors. But the more we talked about it, the more we realized this wasn’t really about 𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 the shop. It was about taking a moment to celebrate a dream that became real.

Truthfully, we may never get another chance to have an official ribbon cutting. This is one of those once-in-a-lifetime milestones, and it started to feel really special to us. So we decided…why not celebrate it?

📍 Fern & Fable Book Co.
2 E. Main Street, Rising Sun, MD

Afterwards, we welcome you to stick around, browse the shop (and the rest of the Farmhouse Boutique shops), chat books, and celebrate this exciting milestone with us.

Whether you’ve been cheering us on since before we unlocked the doors or you’ve been meaning to stop in for the first time, we would LOVE to see you ☺️

Thank you for making these first two months so much more than we ever imagined. This ribbon cutting may make it “official”…but you’ve made it feel like home from the very beginning 💚📖

We’re getting closer and closer every day, and we truly think it’s going to be worth the wait 🥹🌿📚

One thing you’ll definitely have to look for once we open our doors?
Our two tiny shop geese 🪿✨

Jess has been the unofficial family goose enabler for years now (everyone in the family has their own porch goose at this point 😂), so we knew we had to find a way to bring a little goose energy into Fern & Fable too.

Thankfully, the incredibly talented local maker who creates the full-sized geese also has a mini mold… and we are OBSESSED. How freaking cute are they?! 😭

Now we just need names for these two little shopkeepers 👀
