🚨 NEW YORK FI****MS LEGISLATION UPDATE 🚨
Over the past few weeks, we’ve received a lot of questions about New York’s recently approved legislation regarding certain modern pistols and new restrictions related to 3D printing and firearm design files.
We intentionally waited before posting because we wanted to gather as much factual information as possible rather than contribute to rumors or speculation.
At this time, New York has not released an official list of all affected firearm models, and there are still many unanswered questions regarding implementation and enforcement.
Based on the information currently available, certain modern striker-fired pistols may be impacted in the future, and new restrictions surrounding 3D printers and digital firearm design files have also been included in the legislation.
One of the most common questions we have received is: “Should I be worried about fi****ms I already own?”
Based on the information currently available, fi****ms that are lawfully purchased before any future restrictions take effect are expected to be grandfathered. However, we strongly encourage everyone to remember that regulations, guidance, and legal challenges can change, and we are still waiting for official clarification from New York State before treating anything as final.
At this point:
✅ No official list of affected firearm models has been released.
✅ The exact scope of the legislation is still being clarified.
✅ Legal challenges are expected.
✅ We will continue monitoring developments and provide updates as official information becomes available.
As always, we encourage everyone to stay informed, verify information from reliable sources, and avoid relying solely on social media rumors.
JJ Armory will continue following this closely and will keep our customers updated as more details are released.
