Lightning strikes storming across the ceiling, and hidden clues throughout the bookstore. It was a dark and stormy Basgiath night at Lioness Lane. 💜

Riders cracked codes, found clues, earned their dragons. The Healers kept everyone supplied, Infantry settled matters rock-paper-scissors style, and the Scribes had some stories to tell (More on that in stories later 😉). Meanwhile, Danny Svilar poured beautiful Fourth Wing- themed cocktails, and the silent disco had Rebecca’s playlists on all night long.

To everyone who stayed up past their bedtime- thank you. Watching you run around our bookstore on a Dragon Rider’s mission was everything we hoped the night would be.

If you missed it…. Well…. You’ll have to ask a Rider what happened. 😉

I’ve been waiting a long time to write this post.

Do you remember pulling up to a line outside Books and Briar at midnight to get your copies of Harry Potter? The smell of the ci**rs and books from the doorway? I do.

Every midnight release I attended growing up happened just down the road from where Lioness Lane now stands, and bringing that magic back to Riverton has been a dream of mine for many years.

So, we’re doing it. With that Lioness flare you all know we do so well.

I know it’s a Monday evening and we all have work and responsibilities the next day, but we’ve waited SO long to have midnight releases back, and we deserve to celebrate together!
