Context: You know who is rad? Second Presbyterian Preschool here in Roanoke City! Thanks for having us back again this year! Alice, you’re amazing and it’s great to see all of the wonderful things happening there with you and your staff! One of our favorite parts of serving shaved ice is when we get to see the look of pure joy on a kids face when you hand them a cone. To them, it’s heaven in a cup. They are so excited to receive that gift! Life is tough. We all have bills to pay, people that are sick in our families, etc….Joy in 2026 seems out of touch at times. But is it? Think of a good memory you have that always brings a smile or joy to your face. A person? An event? Try to remember what is what like to have pure joy from easy things like a snow cone. That’s what the Rad Shack is. We want you to come and make a memory. It’s seems tough to get joy from simple things like a $4 snow cone when you’re an adult, but it can be done. Count your blessings today and you’ll start to smile again like the kid in preschool when they reach for a Tigers Blood snow cone. Stay Rad, folks.
