If you’ve been neglecting your hams, no worries, because we have some banded variations that can be done for high reps and get you all the hypertrophy needed.

This alternative is a great finisher to hit at the end of a leg workout for 3-5 sets of 10-20 reps. Remember, the heavier the band, the higher the tension during the exercise.

As always, go to serioussteel.com, get the bands, and get to work!

Faster rotation = faster barrel = more exit velo. If you want the ball to jump, your turn has to snap 🔥

This drill forces you to feel that quick, connected rotation through your core—instead of just swinging with your arms.

Using a resistance band—a staple in my hitting warm-ups and power work. If you want a simple tool to train at home and actually feel progress…these are it. 👏🏼

Triceps are the key to happy elbows, and there’s no excuse not to train them when you have Serious Steel bands in your bag. But what if you don’t have a pull-up bar? We’ve got you.

Give this setup a try: crisscross the band and wear it like a backpack. This helps prevent the band from moving around. When you grab the band to perform the pushdown, you can adjust the tension based on how high or low you grip it.

Use this for a quick, standalone triceps pump, or add it to the end of your upper-body day for 3–4 sets of 15–30 reps. Feel the burn, grow your horseshoes, and carry on with your day.

Head to serioussteel.com, grab your bands, and, of course, get to work!

Tight lower back holding you back in the gym? 👀

Try these 3 resistance band movements to help loosen things up, improve stability, and get you moving before your next training session. 💪

🟠 41” Orange Band—Bird Dog: Loop the band around one foot and hold the opposite end with the opposite hand. Press your hand and foot away from each other at the same time, creating tension through the band.

Keep your back straight, your core tight, and your body as stable as possible throughout the movement.

🟣 41” Purple Band—Pallof Press: Attach the band around shoulder height from a kneeling position. Place the leg closest to the attachment point behind you.

Bring the band to the center of your chest, then press it straight out and back in. Fight the band’s pull and focus on keeping your torso steady and balanced.

🔴 37” Red Band—Lumbar Distraction: Position the band around your lower back and carefully allow your lower body to hang off the edge of a bench.

Relax into the stretch and allow the band to gently create traction through the lower back.

Save this one for your next warm-up. 📌

A few minutes of focused mobility and stability work can go a long way before you start loading up the bar. 🏋️

The years roll on, but we do not forget.

On this day...25 years ago, 246 people woke up in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people woke up in preparation for work. 343 firefighters woke up in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers woke up in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics woke up in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00am on Sept 11, 2001.

In one single moment life would never be the same - our country would never be the same.

As you live and enjoy each breath you take, kiss the ones you love and never take one second of your life for granted. ❤

Never Forget! 🙏

Gymnastics rings are a popular staple in most gyms because of their versatility. But whether you’re working on your muscle-up progression or simply knocking out some dips, sometimes you need a band for a little assistance.

The standard way to use a band with rings is to loop it around one ring and hold the other end against the opposite ring with your hand. The problem? If your hand slips, you can lose your grip on the band, or the band itself can slide during your set.

Don’t worry, though—we have a setup that will not only stay secure throughout your entire set, but also free up your hands so you can focus on the movement itself.

We’ve shown you a few ways to use our bands to simulate the same stimulus as a high-rep set on the leg press. In case you were getting bored with the first two, we’ve got another variation for you.

Place one loop of the band around each foot. Then, hold the other end of the band as you would during a Zercher lift and lie flat on the ground or on a bench.

With control, extend your legs and get to work. The heavier the band, the more tension you’ll feel throughout the movement.

We recommend performing 3–4 sets of 15–20 reps at the end of your leg day.

Knees caving in when you squat? That inward collapse is commonly referred to as knee valgus.

It can show up when the hips and knees have trouble controlling position under load. Strengthening the glutes, hip abductors, and external rotators—and practicing better knee tracking—can help improve control.

Adding a resistance band gives you immediate feedback and creates extra tension your hips have to fight against.

Here are 5 movements to add to your training:

🔹 Banded Side-Lying Leg Raises: Targets the glute medius and hip abductors that help keep the knee from collapsing inward.

🔹 Banded Squats: The band encourages you to actively drive the knees out and maintain better alignment throughout the squat.

🔹 Banded Lateral Walks: Keeps constant tension on the glutes while training side-to-side hip stability and control.

🔹 Banded Clamshells: Targets the glutes and hip external rotators that help control rotation of the femur and knee.

🔹 Banded Forward Monster Walks: Challenges the hips to maintain knee position while moving forward—great for building strength and control that carries over to athletic movement.

The goal isn’t just to “push your knees out.” It’s to build the strength and control needed to keep the hips, knees, and feet working together.

Save this one for your next lower-body warm-up or training session. 💪

Kettlebells are some of the most versatile pieces of equipment in the gym, especially when it comes to training your core. We love using them for swings and rotational work, but who doesn’t love turning things up a notch?

Grab one of our bands and feed it through the kettlebell handle. Place the kettlebell outside your feet, grab one loop in each hand, and perform a high pull as you rotate to the opposite side and set the bell down. Repeat in the other direction for 5–10 reps per side.

The weight of the kettlebell is up to you. For more “chaos” in the band—causing the bell to bounce and shake—use a smaller band. For more stability, use a larger band.

After 2–3 sets, you’ll feel it in your core, arms, and upper back.

To add some spice to your core training, head to serioussteel.com, grab your bands, and, of course, get to work!
