Since reducing the asking price on the full package this past week (truck + all of the business equipment & remaining supplies) to a still-negotiable $55,000, I've had a lot of inquiries about selling just the truck/kitchen without any of the coffee equipment or supplies.

I'm not going to be changing the marketplace listing (yet), but I wanted to put it out there that I am willing to sell the truck/kitchen alone at $30,000, for anyone interested. I'm also willing to negotiate parts of the equipment/supplies list into this package. If the truck sells by itself, I'll begin offering the equipment individually through marketplace--I have no plans to sell the equipment before the truck.

While beginning recovery from surgery this week, we're looking to get the truck to its next owner as soon as possible! We've reduced our asking price to $55,000 or best offer.

A little emotional as I drive the truck off of the lot for the last time. 2901 Franklin Rd SW in Roanoke has been home base for us since we started this journey in 2024. Well, all our base are belong to you now, Cook N Curry--best of luck to you!

The truck is back on the lot at 2901 Franklin Rd SW in Roanoke until the end of September.

All of the Brew Initiative branding has been removed and it is a blank slate for the next owner!

It's been a minute since I've addressed the feather flag ordinances in this area (City of Roanoke, Roanoke County, & Town of Bedford).

I did provide a sitting member of the Roanoke City Council with my proposed amendment to the current ordinance banning feather flags in Roanoke. My impression is that the Great Flock Camera Crisis of 2026 is probably going to overshadow any forward movement for now. I hope eventually they will change it for the rest of you.

To be honest, we had kind of forgotten about the CommunityVotes Roanoke 2026 in the weeks coming up to our final appearances. Although the journey ended a lot sooner than we had hoped or expected, this was a nice note to end on. Thank you to everyone who voted for us and supported us! It was our pleasure to serve you!

The plan had been to remain open for the next couple of weeks, but my leg made other plans. Working an event this past weekend left me unable to walk at all yesterday--and it wasn't a challenging event. I'm able to get around today with crutches, but I have to accept that I can't continue to risk causing more damage. With that, Brew Initiative Coffee is officially closed.

Akosa and Dale Lane with Cook N Curry will be having their grand opening on the lot at 2901 Franklin Rd SW on July 24th. We will be transferring the primary lease of the lot to them in the coming weeks.

We want to thank everyone who has supported us the past couple of years. Thank you to all of the pop-up, event, and festival organizers who took a chance on us. Thank you to everyone who saw the dragon and decided it was too strange to pass up. A huge thank you to everyone who kept coming back.
