Friends and neighbors, if your son goes to CBMS (8th grade), please talk with them. My son, who happens to be a little heavier than his peers, is being called names and picked on, and by a kid that is actually heavier than him. Enough is enough! I know people say "kids will be kids". Well that's unacceptable. We as parents have to teach our kids about kindness. I know that kids often act out and try to hurt other kids because of things they are dealing with, but that doesn't excuse them to be cruel to other people. It could mean life or death for some kids. I have reached out to the school but I know things like this usually aren't resolved that way. It does start at home. As parents, we aren't to blame for the actions of our kids, but it is our responsibility to try and give them guidance and teach them right from wrong. I know I'm not alone here.
