This 19thc oil French painting depicts the offerings and tributes to Sultana by Frédéric Borgella (1833–1901).
Borgella was a 19th-century French Orientalist painter who studied under Charles Gleyre at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and made his Paris Salon debut in 1864. He became known for richly detailed Orientalist scenes featuring women, dancers, musicians, and imagined North African and Middle Eastern interiors and settings.
Some early restorations but displays beautifully! The next owner could have this framed or set on an easel or wall as is, wonderful for the lover of romantic, moody French antique art!
