Dear friends and Neighbors,
As some of you may or may not know a recent passion project of mine has been to get bike racks installed along the titus ave business area. As a business owner, mother and resident of Irondequoit this has become very personal to me. I have noticed so many of my customers riding bikes to my shop and others along our street and not having anywhere safe to lock them up. When they are visiting my shop they are dropping their bikes in the parking lot which is a safety hazard for them, their bikes and on coming traffic. I know Irondequoit is making an effort to to be more family friendly and walk/bike friendly and I think in in doing so adding additional bike racks would be a great start. There is currently 1 outside of Monte Alabon, however patrons going to our new arcade, , Little Bits Coffee Roasters as well as my shop could really benefit. Why am I writing this? Currently the board has grants available to use towards "sprucing" up the town and I am looking to you the people to help me reach out. The more people they hear from the more they see the need. Help me help you help the safety of our kids and our town.
