It’s canning time!
MoonflowerfarmPNW is rolling out weekday afternoon picking hours beginning Monday Sept 23-27.
Hundreds of pounds left and everything is ALWAYS organic and non GMO.
Everything is $2/lb including:
Rainbow cherry tomatoes, red and golden Amish paste tomatoes, big heirloom Cherokee tomatoes.
Giant globe eggplant.
Jalapeño and Serrano chilies.
Free basil!
Message farm to coordinate your preferred time.
Bring your boxes and load up!

Out picking for tomorrow’s delivery to Ralph’s Thriftway.. and under the canopy of velvety nightshade leaves are these babies:
A four pound eggplant. One.
Several two pound tomatoes.
First thought:
I could feed an extended Italian family lunch with these puppies!
Second thought: isn’t there a state fair somewhere that needs to see fhese?
Shout out to for the amazing Aswad variety eggplant seeds, and for the old timey seeds.

Moonflower Farm has sold out of a majority of our ripe produce on the FIRST DAY! So we are closing our u-pick for this weekend BUT…
We have added dates because a huge bumper crop of our heirloom tomatoes, canning tomatoes, and pickling cucumbers are soon to be ripe and ready! Here’s the added dates:
September 3&4 (Labor Day)
September 9&10
10-6 daily, cash or card, bring bags, closed toed shoes, and no furry friends please :)

For the first time here we are growing an abundant amount of the Caribbean Fish pepper.
Starting off milky white with green pinstripes, they get progressively more colorful moving toward red in the final stages of ripeness. High on the Scoville scale, a little bit goes a long way.
Used in the Caribbean as an accompaniment to seafood dishes, the pepper made its way to the US in the 1800s, but sadly fell out of favor for a time. It’s back- with more culinary aficionados rediscovering it’s fruitiness and complexity as a great pepper in a wide range of uses.

These jalapeños from are so cool.. they’re called “Craig’s Giant” and they come through with purple and black skin and a wonderful moderate heat. It’s our second year growing them here and we love how fast they set fruit here in the fickle PNW summertime.
