A gentle reminder that Bart White and Michael Czarnecki will be reading at Before Your Quiet Eye tomorrow, 6/28/26, at 2pm. An open mic will follow their reading. Light refreshments from Voula’s Greek Sweets will be provided. Hope to see you at this event.

Today’s the day, 6/13/26, and Before Your Quiet Eyes is the place to be, if you want to get some insights into the 23rd Rochester International Jazz Festival! Derrick Lucas and other staff members of Jazz90.1 will be discussing the changes in venues, their “not to miss performances,” new and returning musicians, and the performers who will be in town beginning Friday June 19, 2025 through June 27, 2026!

Light refreshments will be provided, thank you Voula’s Greek Sweets and Wegmans. All the festivities including a pop-up event begins at 1pm today. Hope you are able to drop in for an hour or till the store closes at 6!

In just a couple of hours, 7pm, a meeting of Ground and Sky, will not only launch Athena June events at Before Your Quiet Eyes, but will also launch the release of their new book “journeys of sacred community II.”

A week from tonight, 6/10/26, Just Poets will have their monthly event at the store beginning at 7pm. The featured reader is Ralph Culver, followed by an open mic.

Then on Saturday June 13, we welcome back Derrick Lucas and Jazz90.1. A discussion of the Rochester International Festival performers will be a hot topic. Stop by enjoy some music, socializing with others, and light refreshments! Activities start at 1pm.

Ent beginning at 6:30.

On June 15th at 7pm Rochester Row will meet to discuss “ The Adventure of Wisteria Lodge.”

Then on June 19th Ground and Sky returns at 7pm.

On Sunday June28th poets Michael Czarnecki and Bart White will be having a book launch and poetry reading at the store. This event begins at 2pm and light refreshments will be provided.

Happy Jazz Appreciation Month, National Poetry Month, and Autism Awareness Month.

Today’s the day: We start the first David White discussion of “The Penguin Book of Hell.” That discussion will start at noon and go till 1pm. Typically David’s sessions go till 3pm.

But today, to celebrate Jazz Appreciation month, Derrick Lucas from Jazz90.1 will provide music and conversation beginning at 1pm and will continue till 6pm. Light refreshments will be provided. This even is a kick start of the radio station’s fund raising during the month of April. Other members of the radio station may stop by through out the day. We hope to see you for this event.

Wednesday April 8th, Just Poets meet at 7pm for their read Around to celebrate National Poetry month. Their event begins at 7pm. More information about Just Poets is available on their FB page and web page.

On April 17, Ground and Sky will meet at 7pm. Featured in the reading is a newly compiled book by Joel Lesses about Major Ragain called “Poems of A Gold Carp.” More information about Ground and Sky is available on their FB page.
