A little Lake Ontario history lesson, because apparently we need one this week 🌊

The name “Ontario” comes from an Indigenous word traditionally associated with “beautiful lake” or “sparkling water,” and the name has been around for centuries.

So, fun fact: Lake Ontario was Lake Ontario long before any of us were here, and we’re guessing it’ll continue to be Lake Ontario for the foreseeable future 😉
