Seeking a self-motivated brass/woodwind repair tech to join our team at Thomas Music Inc, a well-established independent repair shop, in Rochester, NY. Minimum 1-3 years repair experience or repair schooling preferred. Full-time, 37 hrs/week. Will work on all levels of instruments servicing students, schools, adults and professional players. Must have excellent communication skills for customer interaction. Will work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to do heavy lifting (i.e. cleaning tubas). Paid vacation, paid holidays, NAPBIRT dues and continuing education opportunities are also provided.

Rochester is a mid-size city and is known for its incredible support of the arts and as a “musically rich” area.

Yesterday was Trevor's last day at Thomas Music. He accepted a job at Mobile Music in Canandaigua, just a few minutes from his house. He is not going to miss the construction on 490! We've loved having him on our team and wish him all the very best going forward!

Parades can be rough on an instrument. This poor foot joint had a slightly loose fit and fell off mid parade, then had an unfortunate run in with a vehicle driving over it. Through patience and persistence it is back in shape, and ready to continue making music for some time to come.
