I can not tell you the proper name for 'bow bugs' but a closed case and time often results in this problem.
The Best Ways to Kill and Remove Bow Bugs:Vacuuming: Use the crevice attachment on your vacuum to thoroughly clean out the nooks, crannies, and accessory pockets of your case. This removes adult bugs, larvae, and eggs.Sunlight & Fresh Air: Bow bugs thrive in dark, undisturbed environments. Remove your instrument and bow, then leave the open case in direct, bright sunlight for a few days. The UV rays naturally disinfect and kill the bugs.Freezing: If the infestation is persistent, place your empty case into a large plastic bag and seal it. Put it in a deep freezer for 72 hours to kill the insects, then vacuum again.Cedar Oil & Sachets: These act as a natural deterrent. Place cedar sachets in your case or lightly drop a small amount of cedar essential oil in the case corners. (Note: Be careful if you have pets; essential oils can be highly toxic to birds and cats).Avoid Mothballs: While historically suggested, mothballs contain dangerous neurotoxins that can leave hazardous residues on your instrument and case that are harmful to inhale. What About Your Bow?If bugs have been chewing on your bow's horsehair, there's no way to repair the existing hair. You will need to take it to a local luthier or string shop to get a bow rehair.

French about 1890, factory interesting that the slide is silver and blends into back to give the impression the slide and back are one. Fine work, MoP eye.

Example of a nice, standard carve.
"Basic idea" carve off wood weight -
to increase vibration frequency to
2700 - 3200hz. The higher weight of a minimally carve leaves the player with unclear trebs and thick basses.
