If you’re able to donate to Roc Rapid Response Network mutual aid fund, please do! They help families affected by ICE get groceries.
ICE is present here in Rochester, harming our neighbors.

You can also get involved with the mutual aid team! Check out Roc Rapid Response Network for more info. There is a role for everyone. I encourage you all to at least attend an orientation and see if anything they are doing calls to you. A wonderful crew of people are doing work to help people and there’s always room for more people to help and join.

Other ways to help is to share this info! Share with your friends and on your socials. Spread the word.

Tomorrow we will be at Flora from 4pm-8pm for a pop-up q***r book fair!

We will be giving out a limited amount of pride stick flags, stickers, & pens for free - if you want one, get there early!

Our shop will also be open normal hours: 11am-6pm

10% of profits for the month of June will be donated between Roc Rapid Response Network and The Center for Youth , including all sales from the book fair!

We need someone able to work Saturdays 10:45-6:15, every other Sunday 11:45-4:15, and Thursdays 10:45-3.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Starts at $22.83 per hour
Benefits:

Bookseller Job Description
The Booksellers are the first point of contact for customers at the Unreliable Narrator and provide a friendly, respectful, and helpful environment. This role involves assisting customers with book selections, maintaining store organization, handling sales transactions, and supporting general retail operations. We are actively looking for folks who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).

Diaper Drive!
A group of wonderful volunteers are collecting gift cards & diapers for mutual aid.

You can drop off diapers and/or gift cards here at The Unreliable Narrator.

If you bring in new diapers to donate, you can receive 20% off of any one item that day! (Only redeemable once per person please!)

Sizes most needed right now are 3, 4, 5, & 6. Gift cards from Costco are preferred (but will collect from any place that sells diapers)

Thank you to everyone who can help out with donations and to all those doing the organizing. Just a reminder that there are lots and lots of good people in this world!
