What is the difference is between and Laminate and a Hybrid Instrument? — long story short: Laminate is a more pleasing way to say plywood, and Hybrids are a combination of Laminate and Fully Carved wood.

In this case the Shen Sb90 is all Laminate where the Shen Sb180 has a fully carved spruce top w/ Laminate ribs and back.

Both sound good- but one may be a better fit for your sound and/or budget.

Thanks to .ziemann for swinging by and hanging for a bit!

Field Trip Day!!! Always fun to have our friends stop in and tour the shop. We get to talk about the instruments they play and how those are made, setup, and repaired!
