Lanna Lace marigold

Lanna Lace is a compact African marigold variety featuring creamy white, fully double blooms. It grows 10–12 inches tall, resists browning by shedding water easily, and thrives in full sun.
Growing a few this summer to see how they do up here. So far the flowers stay for a long time and the sun fades the yellow out giving them an absolutely stunning white color for a marigold. We will definitely be growing these in 2027.

How's the gardens doing? Any issues? How about all the other plants, trees, and shrubs? Noticing and gaps that you'd like to fill in next year? Take some photos this summer and fall, take some notes for when we put in our 27's order you'll have an idea of what and where you'd like to plant.

Stay tuned!

It's going to be hot!!

Make sure you 1st and your plants 2nd stay hydrated.

Early Morning: This is universally considered the most effective time. Watering before the heat of the day allows the water to soak deeply into the root zone before rapid evaporation occurs.

Water Deeply: Instead of light, daily sprinklings, try to avoid watering during the peak of the day.

Containers Dry Faster: Plants in pots need more frequent watering than in-ground plants and may require more daily watering during a heatwave, move plants to shade if possible.

Stay hydrated!

Hey! Just checking in. Hows summer going? How are your plants doing? Are you fertilizing them? Any of them you are absolutely loving or hating? Feedback good or bad is always welcome, we can't change if we don't know.

Pictured below is The Blueberry Tomato it is a prolific, indeterminate cherry tomato variety famous for its striking deep-purple, sun-exposed skin and sweet, tangy red flesh. Packed with rich anthocyanin antioxidants and it thrives in full sun.

We only sold a few of these this year, but wanted to share what we've learned while growing them. Our plants finished early as I forgot to water them for a few days.....anyways, the plant was around 9' tall when we played it over the pallet racking. The progression of the fruit is something I learned the hard way.....the blue-green tomato isn't ripe and is extremely bitter if you try to eat it. They are best when they turn red.

Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, especially once flowering begins, to prevent blossom drop and fruit splitting.

Harvesting: For the best, sweetest flavor, leave the tomatoes on the vine for a few extra days after they turn purple. Harvest when the shaded side turns deep red and the fruit yields slightly to a gentle squeeze.

We continue to receive new catalogs for the 2027 season and there sure are some new dazzling looking flowers coming!

It's going to get hot this weekend!! Hopefully the rain stays away....stay tuned for updates!

Good morning!

We received rain last night! We needed it!

Last day of 2026 spring season. We will be closing at 2pm today in Rocklake. Maybe you need vegetables or something to fill for that one pot that's not filling in how you'd like it.

Pictured is a Kalanchoe(Mandala yellow) its a low maintenance dual plant. Outside for the summer providing bright yellow blooms and inside for the winter doing the same. Another hidden gem, but since its a late bloomer, it was skipped over like the vinca.

Still have a good selection of perennials and a few shrubs left.

If you cannot make it by 2, reach out and set up a time.

Have a wonderfully fantastic Wednesday!
