Our Rooted in Rock Springs campaign is all about introducing you to the people, businesses and places that make our community unique—and reminding all of us that when we have a choice, choosing local makes a difference.

Today, we’re featuring a business that has been making music in Downtown Rock Springs for decades: Pickin' Palace!

Located at 553 N. Front Street, Pickin’ Palace is a family-owned music store offering much more than what you might expect when you walk through the door. From instruments and accessories to repairs, music lessons, sound equipment sales and installations, they’ve been helping musicians of all ages and experience levels make some noise. Meet Dave.

A man who has spent his life embracing simplicity, serving his community, and doing what he loves. While many measure success by what they accumulate, Dave measures it by the people he helps, the relationships he builds, and the joy he finds in sharing his gifts with others.

🎉 BE THERE FOR THE FIRST-EVER ROCK THE BLOCK! 🎉

Join us this Saturday, June 6, from 10 AM to 10 PM for the first-ever Rock the Block, a brand-new Downtown celebration transforming South Main Street into a day-long party filled with shopping, music, games, food, prizes, and fun for all ages.

From Bank Court to C Street, you'll find sidewalk sales, local vendors, giveaways, special promotions, and activities happening throughout the day. Test your skills in the Co****le Tournament at 11 AM, take a ride on the Mechanical Bull at 4 PM, and cap off the evening with Line Dancing at 7 PM.

We're also excited to celebrate the Grand Opening of Sweetwater Custom Works, along with special events, extended hours, and promotions from participating Downtown businesses.

Whether you're a longtime Downtown supporter or looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday, this is your chance to be part of the very first Rock the Block and help us kick off what we hope becomes a new Downtown tradition.
