As excited as I am to focus on the once lesser known parts of this business, I knew closing the retail storefront was going to be very hard 🥲. What I didn’t expect is that so many conversations with great customers, a supportive partner, and a collaborative minded local business would convince me to keep it going on a small enough scale that I can still pursue my other passions, with much less interference.
Possessions has generously invited Nostalgic Dwelling into their beautiful, much larger, new space to ensure that there remains a dedicated space within Rockford for local and visiting customers to find beautiful, curated, authentically vintage furniture, art and other home decor items for their homes ( PLUS: DECORATING services that specialize in vintage!! 😉).
Starting in September, Nostalgic Dwelling customers will now benefit from increased hours of shopping, not only our own curated space, but the many other gorgeously staged, wide variety of high end and unique Possessions’ inventory. It is going to be a win win for everyone! If you’ve never been to Possessions, you’re in for a real treat! I am thrilled to soon be set up amongst the sea of goodness that is the Possessions shopping experience!
