Second flush of feverfew;

I got busy and missed my window to harvest earlier this summer, and our self sown feverfew started going to seed. So what did I do? Took a chainsaw (yes, a chainsaw) and cut down all the blooms. Result? A second flush of blooms in early fall 💫

When it doubt, chop it down. Flowers love to be cut and actually produce MORE blooms if you do (most, anyway). Deadheading is an important task if you want to keep seeing your flowers bloom. Once they go into seed production & complete their cycle, they stop sending up new blooms.

So chop those heads off 🪓

Some color pops on this cloudy morning ✨

Does anyone else identify as a neutral/minimalist person, except when it comes to flowers? My first year growing, I planted almost 50% white/cream/black flowers, and lots of green foliage. And I hated it 🤣

My second year I was more like “let’s break the color wheel with alllllllllll the colors” 💛🧡❤️💜💙

Now, we’re somewhere inbetween, but still heavy on the color punch side of the spectrum.

In my option, I love flowers that contrast with your home decor, making a bold focal point that brightens your space. That’s why I painted the entire interior of our shop black 🤓
