Skated today. Landed some new stuff. Feeling great. No documentation at all. The homie I was with saw it. That’s all that matters.

The last day. 12-5

It’s been a fun ride, but it wasn’t always easy. There have always been those that smile in your face and then talk trash behind your back. There are the macho keyboard warriors with all their brave fingers and weak mouths, never saying a thing to your face.

All I wanted to do was get kids skating again in Rockford. Mission accomplished. Sadly though, it ebbs and flows, so business is affected. Naively, I always thought I could keep business and fun separate, but I know now that’s impossible.

No regrets. I get to be a skater again with no responsibilities to skateboarding except having a good time.

I’ve been doing this 35 years. I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. It all feels brand new again.

We aren’t opening this week because I can’t justify paying someone to sit there, so here’s the deal: Sunday, Feb 4 will be the last day the doors open. I’ll be there. We have some live music happening. Bring some beer. Everything is 50% off. Mark your calendars. Let’s go out in style.
