Latest rod finally complete. Has been a slow year. Only 3 this year. Kinda discouraged considering the quality of work I do and experience I have fishing and in building rods that perform and the amount of thread work and and pride that goes into my builds. For the price of what most custom plane Jane 2 colors, 3” open wraps and a metallic trim built on 10-20$ blanks my customers are getting top quality blanks with life time replacement on qualifying registered blanks and discounts on labor to rewrap rods replaced under warranty with no limits on color and creativity. My specialty comes in the form of customer performance demands target species and color choices. I am a person that strive to meet or beat every previous rods I have built. I prob have 40-50 rods out in high use circumstances like tournaments and even as use by one of my guide friends on his boat who had the misfortune of passing in 2017. He was a pleasure to be around, friendly as can be, and a very knowledgeable. Although I had a couple tricks I was able to turn him on to that I even saw him utilizing in charters after learning some of my tricks and emplementing them into his business. It felt good to know you thought enough of them to try them in your services. In the short time we were friends I really enjoyed you insight and tips as well and your compliments on my custom rods. So without further ado here is my 7’ 8-15 lb med/light saltwater setup or even great for larger freshwater. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. I would easily spend an extra 50$ more knowing what I get because my rods are hand designed not decorated with stickers unless that is what you want but I don’t see the point in more than one sticker, the company name. Which can be left out on request. I would like for those with experience with my products to give an honest review. Positive or negative. I know there are several of my friends and those who like my business page that can attest to the quality of my work. So for most of these rods you get 3” but wraps crooked and guides covered with stickers to hide subpar work. I guess they need something to balance out their tiny 3-4 inch wraps found on cheap blanks with fancy names! From me you get top blanks and components. In fact a certain place locally charges between 225-250 or more for blanks with 2 colors plus a metallic trim. As seen in pictures I do large butt wraps or any length desired, open or closed with any number of design and components. Prices are a product of components and my time. However I can assure you my customs are equal or better in quality than anyone local and definitely more affordable. Special pricing also available for veterans and law enforcement/first responders. Additionally I do not inflate costs of my components, you get a receipt for all parts involved. So after my long winded reply here are the pics. A simple reversed chevron framing a diamond wrap 10” long with the upgraded guide wrap inlays and a neon lime tip top wrap for those hard to recognized bites in low light. I have sold rods for close to a grand but it isn’t the money I strive for. My goal is to build the best rod available built specifically for the individual it was made for. No mass produced rods here. Each rod built is one of a kind. Time for you to have one of your own!
