Every year, Modern Technology Services attends multi-day industry trade shows and training events to see the newest technology being released and learn directly from the manufacturers behind it.

Technology changes fast, especially in smart homes, automation, lighting, networking, security, audio/video, and artificial intelligence. That is why we make it a priority to keep learning, testing new products, and staying current with the latest advances in our industry.

We love seeing projects like this come to life. It was an honor to partner with on this incredible oceanfront custom home. Our team handled the low-voltage prewire during construction and later completed the home’s smart technology, including home automation, whole-home audio, security, networking, motorized shades, and more.

A lot of people see a photo like this and think, “What a mess!”

In reality, this is exactly what a professionally planned smart home pre-wire should look like during this stage of construction.

Our work isn’t finished yet. We still have additional wiring to install, and once the rough-in is complete, every cable will be labeled, bundled, dressed, secured, and organized before we turn the project over for the next phase of construction.

Every one of these cables has a purpose. They will eventually power everything from TVs, speakers, security cameras, Wi-Fi access points, alarm systems, touch panels, motorized shades, lighting control, networking equipment, and more. It all starts behind the walls.

If you’re building a new home, this is the one opportunity to install the proper infrastructure before the drywall goes up. Planning ahead today makes future upgrades easier, cleaner, and far less expensive.

At Modern Technology Services, we believe what’s behind the walls is just as important as what you see after the home is finished.

We just wrapped up one of our latest smart home projects here in Brevard County. This beach home features whole-home audio, AI security cameras, enterprise WiFi, home theater, smart privacy glass, and more. We thought everyone would enjoy seeing what’s possible with today’s technology.
