🤠 The dust has settled, and y'all came through in a big way! 👢

Boots & BBQ 2026 is in the books. Friends and neighbors filled the tent at Gold Hill Gardens on September 27th, and together you raised more than $125,000 for Compassion Planet. Every dollar goes toward job training, mentorship, and a real path to independence for local aged-out foster youth and at-risk young adults.

A night like this starts with the folks who backed it from day one. One more round of thanks to our 2026 sponsors:

⭐ Gold Spur: JMC Homes · Joe & Cindy Knight · iFish · Capitol Cellars
⭐ Silver Lasso: Eide Bailly · Exchange Bank · Sierra Health · Foothill Painting & Drywall · BPE Law · Diamos Business Group
⭐ Bronze Trailblazer: Golden 1 Credit Union · Five Star Bank · Betty & Dennis Bennett Charitable Fund · Harvest Community Church · Fischer Tile & Marble

🍷 In-kind partners: LeCavalier Cellars · Ciotti Cellars · Moksa Brewing Co. · Cookie Land · Ticket Chocolate
🤝 With added support from Nugget Markets and NCS Allied Doors

To every guest, bidder, and volunteer who pulled on their boots for our young adults: thank you. The good from this night will keep working long after the last plate was cleared. 🧡

❤️ Some folks don't just write the check — they show up with their sleeves already rolled. 👢

Warmest thanks to Betty and Dennis Bennett and the Betty & Dennis Bennett Charitable Fund for a Bronze Trailblazer sponsorship of Boots & BBQ 2026. Every dollar goes toward the training and mentoring that help at-risk young adults in our community find their footing.

These two volunteered alongside us last year, liked what they saw, and came back this year to volunteer and sponsor — bringing friends with them. That's how a community grows: one person at a time, each one handing the reins to the next. 🌟

Can't wait to see you both on September 27th. 🤠

🔑 Everybody deserves a set of keys with their own name on 'em. 👢

Much obliged to Diamos Business Group for a Silver Lasso sponsorship of Boots & BBQ 2026 — and for bringing a full table of good folks along for the evening. Their support carries right into the training that helps at-risk young adults step into steady work and steady footing.

Barney Diamos and his team spend their days taking tired Bay Area buildings and turning them into homes people can actually own — opening the door to first-time ownership for folks who were told that door was closed. We're in the same line of work, just with a different set of blueprints. 🏘️

And here's a tip of the brim: they're ridin' up all the way from Redwood City to be with us. Now that's commitment. 🐎

Save room for the brisket, September 27th. 🍖

🍺 Neighbors to the core — thank you, Moksa Brewing Co.! 👢

Moksa Brewing Co. chipped in an in-kind donation to Compassion Planet's Boots & BBQ 2026. They're Rocklin folks, same as us — poured their first pints here in February 2018 and haven't slowed down since.

And the name is the best part. "Moksa" is an old Sanskrit word meaning liberation — release from the things that hold you. We can't think of a better word for what happens when a young person who aged out of the system finally gets a trade, a paycheck and a key of their own.

Cheers to that, and to y'all. September 27th! 🌟
