โค๏ธ Some folks don't just write the check โ€” they show up with their sleeves already rolled. ๐Ÿ‘ข

Warmest thanks to Betty and Dennis Bennett and the Betty & Dennis Bennett Charitable Fund for a Bronze Trailblazer sponsorship of Boots & BBQ 2026. Every dollar goes toward the training and mentoring that help at-risk young adults in our community find their footing.

These two volunteered alongside us last year, liked what they saw, and came back this year to volunteer and sponsor โ€” bringing friends with them. That's how a community grows: one person at a time, each one handing the reins to the next. ๐ŸŒŸ

Can't wait to see you both on September 27th. ๐Ÿค

๐Ÿ”‘ Everybody deserves a set of keys with their own name on 'em. ๐Ÿ‘ข

Much obliged to Diamos Business Group for a Silver Lasso sponsorship of Boots & BBQ 2026 โ€” and for bringing a full table of good folks along for the evening. Their support carries right into the training that helps at-risk young adults step into steady work and steady footing.

Barney Diamos and his team spend their days taking tired Bay Area buildings and turning them into homes people can actually own โ€” opening the door to first-time ownership for folks who were told that door was closed. We're in the same line of work, just with a different set of blueprints. ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ

And here's a tip of the brim: they're ridin' up all the way from Redwood City to be with us. Now that's commitment. ๐ŸŽ

Save room for the brisket, September 27th. ๐Ÿ–

๐Ÿบ Neighbors to the core โ€” thank you, Moksa Brewing Co.! ๐Ÿ‘ข

Moksa Brewing Co. chipped in an in-kind donation to Compassion Planet's Boots & BBQ 2026. They're Rocklin folks, same as us โ€” poured their first pints here in February 2018 and haven't slowed down since.

And the name is the best part. "Moksa" is an old Sanskrit word meaning liberation โ€” release from the things that hold you. We can't think of a better word for what happens when a young person who aged out of the system finally gets a trade, a paycheck and a key of their own.

Cheers to that, and to y'all. September 27th! ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ“Š Every good outfit needs somebody who can read the books by lantern light. ๐Ÿ‘ข

A hearty Silver Lasso thank-you to Eide Bailly for supporting Compassion Planet's Boots & BBQ 2026. Their gift helps us put practical, employable skills in the hands of young adults who've had to grow up faster than anybody should.

Eide Bailly has been at it since 1917 โ€” better than a century of helping folks make sense of their numbers and plan the road ahead. Planning ahead is a luxury a lot of our young people have never had. Sponsors like this one give them the room to try. โœ๏ธ

๐Ÿชจ Set the foundation true and the whole thing holds for a hundred years. ๐Ÿ‘ข

A Bronze Trailblazer thank-you to Fischer Tile & Marble for standing behind Compassion Planet's Boots & BBQ 2026. Their gift strengthens the trades training that turns a willing young person into a working one.

Here's a fact worth chewing on: Fischer has been laying stone in Sacramento since 1906 โ€” four generations of one family, with their craftsmanship in the California State Capitol and the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. They know that the work nobody sees is the work that lasts. Same goes for the quiet years of showing up for a young adult who's still finding their feet. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

๐Ÿ‡ Deep roots and deep thanks โ€” Ciotti Cellars! ๐Ÿ‘ข

Gratitude to Ciotti Cellars for their generous in-kind donation to Compassion Planet's Boots & BBQ 2026.

Their family story is one for the books: as it's been handed down, the Ciotti grandfather came over from Italy stowed away in a w**e barrel to start a new life. Three generations later, brothers Giuseppe and Archangelo are still making w**e the way they learned it at home โ€” from grapes grown 100% in Placer County โ€” and they greet everybody who walks in with "Benvenuti amici." Welcome, friends.

A family that knows what it means to start over from nothing, showing up for young people doing exactly that? Perfetto. See y'all September 27th! ๐ŸŒŸ
